Printed to a high standard on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Matt paper 310gsm using only canon original inks ensuring best colour reproduction possible. With care light stability of these pigmented inks should last more than 100 years.
My painting looks across the lagoon with Guidecca tinyin the distance, see the typical marble patterned floor and if you look closely a birdcage. The gentle breeze lifts the transparent curtains, the sheets looking like small waves.
Guidecca is an island in the Venetian Lagoon it was known in ancient times as the Spinalunga (meaning "Long Thorn").
Giudecca was historically an area of large palaces with gardens, the island became an industrial area in the early 20th century with shipyards and factories, in addition to a film studio. Much of the industry went into decline after World War II, but it is now once more regarded as a quiet residential area of largely working-class housing with some chic apartments and exclusive houses.

This is my second print of Venice that I’ve purchased from Lesley. Bought the first for a friends birthday but couldn’t part with it. The freshness of the linen against the Venetian backdrop is truly captivating.

Delivered super quick. I have loved this picture for a long time but never found a print of it. Print is as lovely as I imagined it would be. Lovely quality paper too. Just need the 'Arlington Baths' collection now too! 😁💕
