I spent 3 years as Scottish Canals first ever Artist in Residence walking and painting along the 137 miles of the towpath network.
Corpach is the southern entrance to the canal from Loch Linnhe. On a bright blue and white winter morning, one hazy cloud in the clear sky a timeless windless day where the canal meets the sea. The boundary marked by a Pepperpot lighthouse, one of three on the Caledonian canal. I am drawn to ending and beginning ass each manmade stretch of canal enters then exits the sea.
