Printed to a high standard on Hahnemuhle Fine Art matt paper 310gsm using only original Cannon Inks ensuring the best colour reproduction possible. With care light stability of these pigmented inks should last more than 100years.
I have long had a fascination for fire and smoke, each of which has found its way into some of my previous paintings. For the original large scale paintings I experimented with different and looser techniques; using my hands, fingers and palette knife to apply much of the paint and only using a brush to define the detail. This was also the first time that I had chosen to depict a public event; the annual Christmas lights switch on and firework display in George Square Glasgow.
