As part of my art residency with Scottish Canals I spent a lot of time walking the towpath of the Union Canal focusing on the canal basin at Linlithgow.
There is a very active canal society there called LUCS who have a teashop and several boats to take people on short trips to the Avon Aqueduct and beyond.
Once a year LUCS host a Canal Fun Day with Bunting, Boat Trips, lots of stalls and the famous Cardboard Boat Race, yes really boats made of cardboard !!
